The Merrill Soccer Association (MSA) is made up of dedicated volunteers from all over the Merrill community. These individuals generously give their time with one shared goal: creating a positive, respectful, and supportive environment in which kids can grow, learn, and succeed—both on and off the field.
The mission of the Merrill Soccer Association is to introduce and cultivate the ideals of responsibility, hard work, sportsmanship, teamwork, and fellowship within a safe and positive environment. These goals are accomplished by building a solid foundation of skill and athleticism, fostering pride and support within our community, and providing an atmosphere designed to educate both participants and parents in all aspects of the sport.
Soccer has been a part of the Merrill community for over 40 years and was introduced as a competitive sport at the high school level in the late 1990s. Over time, both knowledge of the game and community involvement have grown immensely—something we are truly proud of.
We continue to build a strong foundation of knowledge and skill through our summer soccer programs, as well as camps and leagues offered throughout the year. The Merrill Soccer Association would like to thank the Merrill community and its families for the tremendous support you have shown, and we look forward to continuing to make you proud.
The Merrill Soccer Association is guided by a dedicated Board of Directors and sub-committees made up entirely of volunteers. Participation on the board is a commitment of time and service, as the organization relies on the professional and practical expertise of those who serve. MSA operates as a “working board,” focused on providing the best possible program for our players and families.
The Board of Directors is best suited for individuals with a strong interest in advancing youth development through the sport of soccer. Prospective board members and committee coordinators may self-nominate or be nominated by a current board member by completing and submitting a board application. This process allows nominees to highlight their skills, experience, and areas of interest.
The Merrill Soccer Association highly encourages community members to get involved through volunteer opportunities beyond board service. Volunteers play a vital role in the success of our programs.
If you are interested in volunteering but not joining the Board of Directors, please visit our Volunteer Opportunities tab for more information on current ways to get involved.
